Michael B. Miskovich, DDS

Doctor of Dental Surgery

Dr. Michael Miskovich was born and raised in Grand Rapids Minnesota.  He graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1998.  He completed his pre-dental studies and received his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Minnesota Duluth, in 2003.  In 2009, he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry.  Dr. Michael has been serving patients in the Quad city area since 2009.  In May of 2014 Dr. Michael built a brand new state-of-the-art dental practice and is now the owner of Virginia Family Dental P.A.  His father, Dr. Mike N. Miskovich, and brother, Dr. Peter Miskovich, have  also been able to practice with him in Virginia two or more days a month.

Dr. Michael completed his Cerec training and is a certified Cerec doctor in the field of CAD/CAM Dentistry.

He lives in Virginia and is married to Rachel (Kyllander).  They have three children, Mylan, Mabel, and Michael Jr.  Dr. Michael enjoys spending time with his family, volunteer coaching Virginia High School Varsity hockey team, hunting and fishing, and the outdoors. He also enjoys learning new things and meeting new people.

Dr. Gianna Paola Koker

Surgeon Dentist

Dr. Koker (n e Ganoza) is originally from Lima, Peru. She has been practicing since 2004 when she obtained her Surgeon Dentist degree from the San Martin de Porres University School of Dentistry and later in 2012, her degree of Specialist in Prothodontics (Oral Rehanilitation) from San Juan Bautista University Post-Graduate School.

She lived in South America, where she owned her own group practice for 11 years, with focus on conservative and esthetic dentistry, and also devoted herself to teaching as a Faculty Member in undergraduate dental school programs and postgraduate private courses on occlusion, prosthodontis and custom smile design.

She moved to the US to join her husband Scott, who is a dental lab technician specialized in cast gold restorations. They met during one of his teaching trips to Peru, as part of the study club that Dr. Koker joined in 2011.

They recently moved from Rochester, where their son Wyatt was born, to northern Minnesota, to practice general dentistry as part of the team at Virginia Family Dental.

Dr Koker is fluent in Spanish and English. In her spare time she loves spending time with family and friends, cooking, singing, reading & traveling.

Weston Schmidt

Dental Therapist

Weston grew up in the country in a large family outside a very small town in north central Wisconsin. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in 2005 majoring in Wildlife and Biology. Weston worked for the USDA-APHIS-Wildlife Services as a Wildlife Specialist before returning to school to pick up a Natural Science major and Teaching Certification. Taught Biology, Human Anatomy/Physiology and coached at the High School Level for several years in Benson, Arizona, before returning to Minnesota to pursue a career in Dental Therapy. Weston graduated in December 2014 from the University of Minnesota with a Masters of Dental Therapy.

Weston currently practices as a Dental Therapist at Virginia Family Dental in Virginia, MN and Miskovich Dental Clinic in Grand Rapids, MN.

Weston loves to spend time with his family and younger brothers hunting, trapping, fishing, and most anything else outdoors. He also practices taxidermy and engages in many other hobbies in his spare time.
